Amanda Eiser Hess is a PhD student in the Special Education program at the University of Virginia. Her research focuses on two areas: 1) caregiver coaching to support multimodal communicative participation for young children with disabilities, and 2) metascience focused on improving accessibility and replicability through open science. She previously worked as a preschool speech-language pathologist, specializing in augmentative and alternative communication for children with cerebral palsy.
